Not many events were held in October for the farming industry. We attended very few events; however a few took place which were absolute highlights.
Helsinki annual Ag show
Our dealer in Finland, Hankkija Oy, took first place with the AgBot 5.115T2 at the Helsinki annual Ag show in the category ‘New Product Introduction’. Product Manager Samu Vuorela states: “There are a few autonomous robots in the market now, however they generally only have a single purpose. The AgBot is totally universal with conventional tractors. In Finland, the workforce turnover is high due to long winters & short working windows in spring and autumn. The AgBot will allow our farmers to achieve high work rates when they need it!”
Webinar
One of the AgXeed founders and CEO was invited to a webinar of Nationale Proeftuin Precisielandbouw. The topic of the webinar was autonomous tractors and field robots. It was a very interesting discussion on the view the participants had on what direction the future of farming will head in the next 10 years. Wageningen University & Research, Pixelfarming, GPX Solutions and farmers Stef Ruiter & Bart van Loon were present to share their views. Check the webinar out down below, the webinar is in Dutch.
Demos Germany with Hanse Agro
Two demos were held together with Hanse Agro in southern Germany. It was the perfect combination of showcasing our technology and also to have a more in depth discussion about the agronomic benefits of an AgBot.
Brightlands AgriTech
We were present at the Brightlands AgriTech event on the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo. At the event, a lot of different companies presented their technical solutions to current problems in agriculture. Precision farming, vertical farming, autonomous vehicles and AI-driven systems were in the spotlight.
